WERS Level 4- Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (5 Days)

Awarded by the Royal College Of Surgeons, Edexcel & Institute of Healthcare Development.
More of us now seek adventure and diverse travel on expeditions from Borneo to the Sahara desert. We enjoy activities such as diving, climbing, kayaking & extreme trekking. These explorations place us in situations where qualified help may be hours or days away – casualty survival will depend on the person having the group medical responsibility. The WERS designed course allows students to progress from expedition first aid to the role of Expedition Medical Officer giving the extended skills required and enabling progression to higher levels. The course objective is to give students the advanced skills and knowledge to respond to a variety of emergencies both home and abroad and be qualified to act as an expedition medical officer.
